The Element x Keith Haring Foundation collaboration merges skateboarding and street art bringing to life the elements of New York City skateboarding subcultures of the '80s. Haring's recognizable work is applied across a range of staple pieces including apparel, accessories & four decks custom shaped to be appropriate to 1984, 1987, 1990 & current. With doodles, tags and large-scale collages of human figures, he opposed the town’s social maladies and stood up against capitalist waste, for nuclear disarmament & environmental protection, as well as for the equal rights of man regardless of origin, skin colour, religion or sexuality. His style influenced artists such as Mark Gonzales, Pontus Alv, and Ron Chatman. The joint collection between Element and the Keith Haring Foundation could hardly be a better match. The Art & Spirit of the Element x Keith Haring collection is now available in the form of a streetwear line with two T-shirts, three hoodies, two jackets, two long sleeves, a backpack, a cap and a hip bag.
