Woodward Experience via Josh King

It was pretty much a last-minute decision, but we got him up there. Josh's parents were a bit skeptical of the situation, although that's completely understandable. I talked to them a couple of times and assured them that Woodward is paradise for kids that love skateboarding (and safe, too). Go to www.woodwardcamp.com to see what I'm talking about. They signed all of the necessary paperwork, but still didn't understand why they didn't have to pay for it.

Thanks to Red Bull and Woodward, the trip was fully taken care of. When they approached me about the deal, all they asked was to, "Pick someone that you think should go there." Easy enough...the entire Skatepark staff agreed that Josh was the lucky kid. I gave Josh a disposable camera the day before he left so we could get his perspective. Check out the photos...

One of the many vert ramps - I bet the flat bottom gets skated more than the coping
This course was used for the X-Games one year and the building in the background is called The Lodge - that's where the pros stay
Another day of skateboarding
And yet another day of skateboarding
This is The Rock
Dave Pleshaw and Big Al Russell happened to be there, too
Not a bad view
This is the other side of The Rock
