Neal Hendrix sent over a bit of info about Dubai. I added my dumb comments to his photos below. Here's what Neal has to say to update us on this whole Dubai thing:

Dubai is a city in the United Arab Emirates and a bunch of vert dudes including myself just went and did demos there in December. ESPN hired Rune Glifberg, Sandro Dias, Buster Halterman, and myself to go do demos to promote the X Games in the Middle East. The city is insane. There is so much construction going on it’s crazy. Everything there has to be the biggest, the best, or the first. There is the world's only seven star hotel, the world’s biggest indoor ski resort, and so on. The city has such a booming business and tourism economy that there are families and kids moving there from all over the world. Most of the skaters that live there are from Europe. Some of the kids we met have lived in Dubai their whole life but their parents are European. Everyone was kind of freaked on going to the Middle East but it was really mellow. The UAE is a Muslim country but it is very liberal compared to other countries in the region. You Tampa guys might have been a little stressed though since you can only get alcohol in a four or five star hotel. World geography lesson is done for the day.
