Meron Grab : Last 25 Photos Posted

Grabbing the board with your front hand behind your front foot. Formerly called melon grab, but changed to meron grab by oriental ass Rob Meronek, known for many a meron grab.
From SPoTTampa Twitter babble: Only one person in all of skateboarding can get away with camo cargo shorts: Tommy Sandoval. Me want Street League!! - Rob

Vern Laird is down for the meron. Check the footage for another one that he tried. It's one of those bails where you accidentally land on your board. Somehow he still rode away.

Colin Clark can meron grab, too. Lookin' nerdy as hell in those cargo shorts and grapefruit sized wheels.

And of course, I have to hand the camera over to Jason to get my own meron grab in. Know why it's called a meron grab here.

Good moning. The Contest is about to start, but we all had to get our meron grabs. That's Ryan Clements.

Woodward Beijing Grand Opening
You can see the cotton balls flying through the air on Sandro's meron 540. It was like it was snowing with all these little allergy bombs flying around the entire time.

A kickfrip meron in China? My oriental jokes have come full circle. This guy I guess is a local.

Element Make it Count Contest
The meron grab is like the opposite of the 50-50 kickflip out. Like cigarette smoking, reveling in women, and binge drinking on the weekends, you should wait until you're older for these types of stunts. Devin Bagnoli's look good, though.

Camp Kids and Harvest Jam 2009
Justin Atchley used to be in my tyke photography club, but he's grown a foot or two since then. You can tell he's old as hell now since he's all about the meron grabs

Copenhagen Pro 2009 Weekend
Here again is Neal with a meron to fakie. Definitely needs some Asian flavor. Maybe add some MSG, soy sauce, and sticky rice so we can get that front knee closer to the back foot. Oh wait, maybe it's harder when the ramp is over 4 feet high

There was a vert demo this year instead of an actual contest. This is Neal Hendrix. I'm going to have to show him how to put some oriental into those lien meron grabs

I got a nice email from Sam Beckett thanking us for doing the Am Vert Contest. Nice dude with a big ol' kickfrip meron. Bring that back next year if we can find any sponsors that want to sink massive amounts of economic waste into a skateboard contest that skateboarders don't support
