Throwing a Bar in a Bar at Some Crazy Woman
Posted on Saturday, June 14, 2008
By Rob Meronek

I’m not sure what got into me or what set this crazy woman off (I think it was Clyde), but the outcome was the manager of the restaurant shutting down the whole place early and throwing everyone out. I paid $300 for the damage and it was worth every penny. The bartenders were pretty psyched on what I did since we were making friends with them all night and this woman just would not shut up. Schaefer made me write a letter of apology to Major’s, the restaurant/bar we were at just to make sure Damn Am gets the blame and not 3rd Lair Skatepark. That’s about it. I’m still laughing about it. See you next year in Minneapolis. Drinks on me.

Update September 2009: Cashing in on Partying

I was contacted by a tv production company which sent a crew over to my house to do a full interview on what went down that night. They bought the footage for $500 and it will be on some TV show on the Tru Network called "Most Shocking" or something like that.

Here's a nice formula for some holiday fun. Get your crew together, get some suits, add a hot chick so you look legit, then head downtown to all the fancy hotels. There's a party with free food and free drinks going on in every ballroom. Find one and post up. See examples here: How to Crash Corporate Christmas Parties and Weddings.
Public Service Announcement (Apr 2009)

If you have a skateboard company "out the trunk", that's cool and good luck. But, if you meet any of these criteria, just go ahead and give it up and flip burgers so you have more time to actually skate: 1. It's named with a "clever" way to spell a stupid word. 2. You have your website on any of your graphics. 3. You have myspace links on every email you send. 4. Your hometown hero is your pro.

Schaefer and I were supposed to go home yesterday. We never got on that flight. There's an event in Rotterdam this weekend so we're staying for that. Not only are we staying, we've also kidnapped DMFP who will also be spending the week here. Here's some random flicks: Onward to Rotterdam.
