This is not the Spring Roll

I'm bummed I'm missing the Spring Roll Contest at SPoT this weekend, so I went out to the course to shoot a few photos today. Check out DP, Ginger Jared, Tanner's new trick, Alejandro's big jump, Jake's hurricane, the Skin Tightest Gear Award, and my new friend Carl's first photo on the site being a Take a Poop.

Sometimes getting the lens pointed at you gives you that extra "go for it" push. Carl here aimed high with the crooks on the rail attempt. He'll get it next time, but for now, it's a Take a Poop. Carl says he'll be at the Spring Roll this Saturday ready to rip.
Unlike our numbers here at SPoT, Jacob Krajewski is going up.

Raul's bag of tricks is slowly catching up with his knowledge of skateboarding pros. He's now dropping in on the medium quarter. Remember when you were so damn hyped on dropping in? How do you keep that feeling from going away?
You can find Tanner Hawkins serving it up in the Snack Bar. When I asked him if I could shoot this boardslide fakie, he said he had not done it yet. This is his first make. Hell yeah, Tanner. New trick.
Looks like Jake Mills has left the scootin' far behind. He's checking off the new tricks like Tanner.
Ginger Jared is standing completely on top on this gap up to 5-0. I'm going to have to put him on a Frontside Grind Magazine cover.

Just a few short years ago, the winner of the Skin Tightest Gear Award would surely have been a dude with how rediculous things were getting with the pants. It's good to see the current winner is the other gender. You can now find Alex working in the Shop.

When Alejandro Burnell was having trouble making this kickflip from his new height, I threatened him with Take a Poop consequences. He quickly rolled away. I'll be back at the Park on Monday. Let's learn some new tricks and get them on digital film so I can talk mad crap about you on the internet? Cool, see you on the course.
