It's Just a Skateboard Contest

I have the worst job in the world having to tell kids they can't skate in a Damn Am contest. A lot of them are my friends, too. There has to be a cut off somewhere. This note was just posted on the Damn Am site:

At this year's Damn Am at Minneapolis, the number of entries is now limited to 80 instead of 100 (which ended up actually being 112 last year). We feel that the quality of skating and judging is at a higher level with fewer skaters. Due to this large decrease in spots, there is almost no room for shop/flow riders that got in with video footage in the past. Normally, only legitimate skate companies can put riders into a Damn Am event, not local companies or shop sponsors. Individuals cannot sign up directly, but we'll still be happy to check out your footage to see if we can make something happen. Email Rob @ DamnAm.com with questions.
