Bottom: Kenny stopped to talk to all the kids for extended periods of time. Here he is chatting it up with some young bucks. These kids are Robbie Kirkland's cousins.

Sequences from Maloof Money Cup NYC 2010
Shane O'Niell - thank you for bringing the house down with this amazing switch flip back lip at Maloof Money Cup. At the first Maloof Money Cup, the last section with the big carcass toss stuff counted for a much larger percentage of your score. People complained. So, on this one, all parts of the course counted equal. People complained. So what did we learn from all this? That people complain. It will never go away, especially with what's at stake. It's good that people complain - all of our opinions count and it's part of what keeps skateboarding what it is. With all sections being equal value, I personally like that we all get to see the style of people like Brian Anderson and Eric Koston combined with skating from the parachute jumpers and pole dancers. You can discuss on the Thrasher site.

I think the backside ollie is one of the scariest looking vert tricks. Tony has always had them on lock. I guess when you have done them this high in pools for 20 years, it's not so scary on vert.

Jordan Trahan is here from the swamps of Louisiana staying with Justin Williams. Get out there, make it happen - Jordan is. This is a backside tailslide up the wedge.

We stopped by Paul Rodriguez's private park today and saw some mesmerizing skateboard trickery like this nollie cab switch backside tailslide. I think he came out regular just to show how under control he's got this twister to balancing act.

This back lip on the picnic table by Kyle Walker is at the Tempe park, which is about 30-minutes away from site of the Contest. He also did a backside noseblunt on it.

Felipe was killing practice, but I guess he blew it in his jam because I didn’t see him in the semi-finals. This is a switch kickflip back tail.

Who dat? This backside 180 is about to go down after the landing has already taken place. When you're just learning them, it's okay to go out of order.

Every time he comes to the Park, Jamie Foy one-ups his bad gear from the last time he was here. Good thing he's one-upping his tricks, too.

Mario Saenz is a good skateboarder and a nice ass dude. You may have been wondering who he is all weekend. Unfortunately, you don't know because he went pro with zero magazine coverage and no known video parts and started entering pro contests. The Jeff Ward approach fails again. But, that's just my opinion.

While I had some work to do, Porpe picked up the camera and shot this sequence of Matt Miller's backside noseblunt slide that won the Silver Trucks Best Trick. How does it feel to see someone back noseblunt something you can barely ollie up? Damn.
