The sale this weekend kicked our ASS (Asian Sweat Shop - online order packing). We are about 12 hours behind in shipping stuff out but will be completely caught up by the end of today. Here's another statistics dump. This one shows what skaters, images, and articles have been clicked on the most over the last 30 days. Overall traffic stats are also included. A shoe photo was the number one image and a foot fetish was the number two image. Wow, I almost forget this is a skateboard website sometimes. Sheckler still dominates the content clicking, but he still hasn't beat out all the kids tripping over Rodney Mullen.

Back in October of 2002, SPoT Team Rider Chris Lehman kicked his board out and dove when a semi-truck that he cruised under suddenly started to take off. His legs didn't make it and got run over by the back wheels of the semi. Officer Doofy then proceeded to give him a jaywalking ticket. Yeah, more fantastic police work. Lehman almost had to have his foot amputated and was told he might not walk again. Check out a five-minute audio mp3 clip the St. Pete Times did with Chris about the accident.

Every skateboard shindig always has a few dudes who do the cool guy walk up like, "Yo, I'm here to rip, put me in the contest!" Apparently that's not going to work for the Game of SKATE that eS is doing here at the Park on June 5. You are required to sign up ahead of time online.

There were a few people without sponsors that made the cut into Damn Am at Minneapolis with ripping video footage. Check out James Cooke - switch flip crook in a line, good 360 flip, switch front blunts in a line, backside shifty flips, etc. Looking forward to seeing that dude in Minneapolis. We were all wearing the exact replica of the best shorts ever made this weekend in Puerto Rico. Nike SB's FL Shorts and Croc Shorts are the remakes of the now extinct Fourstar shorts from the early 90's. We have been slowly working on turning the Damn Am events into more of a series that leads up to the end of the year at Tampa Am. Step one was moving Tampa Am to December. Step two is the SPoTlight Am of the Year Awards. SPoTlight Am of the Year awards will take place at ASR in January 2009. It will be based on 2008 Damn Am events and Tampa Am in December.
