This Red Bull Flugtag thing sure looked like a damn good time. Too bad (or good) I was in Amsterdam while all this went down. Check out Clem's story and some great photos from Angel who is going to take my job one day:
Derewenko sent over some good photos also, but I have to put those up later. I am out of my mind from a 16 hour work day following a long flight home from Barcelona last night. I am now on my way to LA at 6am tomorrow morning for that one extremist fest. Look for me to be in a fairly crappy mood when I get there taking equally crappy photos and talking mad amounts of crap about everything, especially with all the Jake Phelps influence I had the pleasure of over the past couple weeks. Good times in the sketchy skateboard industry. I wouldn't have it any other way.

The city of Castallon and our last day in Barcelona was a fun time, but once again, not much skating. My tender knee was not healed enough for a return to the bump to bar. Barcelona local Jose Noro took us where tourists would never end up: Our Last Few Days in Castallon and Barcelona, Spain.

There was no internet and way too much chilling in that Valencia town. It was all good times even though we didn't skate so much. Check out some photos and video: A Tourist Trek Through Valencia, Spain.

A couple years ago, I broke my hand on a backside 5-0. Pathetic. Then last year, I rolled my ankle on a 50-50
the first day in Europe. Wow. Oh it gets worse. I just tweaked out my knee on a plain old ollie on that
bump to bar. Rad. What’s next? Breaking a leg while pushing? So now I’m limping through Spain with
Jake Phelps,
Trixie who is five months pregnant and pushing through the streets with us,
Tony Trujillo, P-Stone, Schaefer, and DMFP.
We just got on a three hour train ride out of Barcelona to this town called Valencia.
Our mission: watch Bad $h!t play at some house party there. Then we’re coming back to Barcelona.
Check out some photos and footage of a little bit of skating we did and a lot of chilling: A Few Days in Barcelona.

I'm in Barcelona now with DMFP, P-Stone, and Schaefer staying at Roberto Aleman's house. After traveling here today, we took it pretty easy and now we're all up nerding out at at 2am at Roberto's house. Well, at least some of us. The rest are out lost in this raging party city. Just added about 30 new clips to P-Stone's AmsterDamn Am 2008 Video Footage. Still haven't found the time to do photos. Buenos noches I think means good night. Yeah, good night.

So I'm sitting here in Amsterdam having the time of my life with great friends (except for today where I have to spend like 10 hours at the keyboard working), and I get this batch of photos that makes me jealous of the fun everyone's having back home in Tampa. Check out some photos and words from Angel and Clem: A Ride on The Albatross.

Hell yeah, DMFP!!!. He qualified second and got one of the Golden Tickets to the Finals. That means he's coming up on some of that rainbow paper that's all different sizes. They call them Euros and they use it as money here. It sure beats the old greenback. Here are the full AmsterDamn Am Street Qualifier Results. Top 32 make the cut to Sunday (we took two extra due to a 3 way tie in 30th - 32nd). See you at the After-Party at Winston Kingdom Club. I have no idea where that's at or how I'm getting there. Wish me luck. Yo Clem, here's another employee we need to steal:
Jake the ATM with the BTM. He's working way harder than I am out here and has been nerding out all day behind the lens and keyboard. Check out some of Jake's photos and words on the Volcom site.

Skatepark of Tampa has a craft that we're dumping into the waters downtown at 1pm on Saturday. One of the awards is the People's Choice. Text "TEAM36" to phone number RBULL (72855) to vote for SPoT on Saturday. Someone take some photos.

You know that one city that's so touristy it seems like you're at Disney World with cocaine and hookers? Yeah, we're in Amsterdam. Check out a couple skate photos and of course tons of chill shots: AmsterDamn Am 2008: We Got Here Early. There's also some P-Stone footage of some ripping at the park in there. I had P-Stone film me to prove that I actually skateboard, not just get wasted and make fun of everyone and everything.

Clem's story and the rest of my sketchy photos coming up tomorrow if I can get it done before the plane takes off. P-Rod won it, by the way.

There's this big giant huge collosal gargantuan skateboard thing tomorrow in LA. Heard of it? Remember the
$25,000 a night hotel rooms? It's put on by the dudes that own that place. SPoTlight has nothing to do with this event. Schaefer, Clem, and I are just going to observe. Since I have nothing to do, I'll see you at the Before-Party instead of the After-Party, which means I'll have a beer in my hand at 11am each day. Maybe I'll even take a skateboard picture or two if they let me in. Watch for full coverage here, maybe.

So I wrote a bunch of computer nerd code and now the only way to sign up for an All Ages Contest is on the website. The caveman method of doing it over the phone was tying up shop employees' time and affecting customer service in the Shop, among other things. This way makes things easier for everyone here and hopefully you, too. The next event is the Back to School Bash All Ages Contest Presented by Altamont on Saturday, August 9, 2008. See you not there. Unfortunately, I will be in Canada for the Damn Am. That is, if they let me in.
