Posted By Rob Monday, March 01, 2010 12:12 PM
Frontside Grind Magazine was reporting for duty this weekend at the Art Show and Tattoo Convention, but not before a stop by The Bricks to see how construction has been going: The Munny Art Show and Cigar City Tattoo Convention.

The What's Up Blog Archives

Click here for the archives. The What's Up Column at SPoT chronicles everything that goes on here at SPoT and the other events we do around the world through SPoTlight Productions, our skateboarding events company. It's also littered with opinions on random things in skateboarding and other adventures from our travels like nightlife and plain old tourist sightseeing. Occasionally, there's even some skate business talk and industry banter and news. It's primarily written by Rob Meronek, skating for 20+ years and working at the Park full time since 2001.

I've been posting random ramblings to this What's Up blog on the SPoT site since 1999. Here's a random list of some of my favorite posts over the years...Rob.

Posted by Rob on Sat, Feb 10, 2007
The last 24 hours of of my life here in Puerto Rico are definitely ranking in the top 10 days of all time. Today we skated for a bit, but then got distracted by some of the best Puerto Rico has to offer the chilling tourist. Check out some photos from day two here:

Upon closer inspection of bailed sequences from this photo of Appleyard's 360 flip, you can see there's a certain word on his board that could raise an eyebrow...
Tampa News Reporter Crushes Kid on Skateboard (Jul 2010)
Posted by Rob on Wed, Jul 14, 2010
Here's a much better view and footage of the news reporter dude who crushed the kid on the vert ramp yesterday. This dude that does a daily morning show on Fox in Tampa attempted to play "human Frogger" while crossing the vert ramp with a bunch of Skate Camp kids pumping back and forth. The result was disaster on live TV. So awesome!
Clem's Office (Aug 2007)
Posted by Rob on Mon, Aug 20, 2007
Remember the Random Tour of Brian Schaefer's Office from a while back? I just did the same thing to Ryan Clements. Check out A Random Tour of Clem's Office and see how proper planning prevents poor performance.
The Great Moat Flood of 2006 (Feb 2006)
Posted by Rob on Fri, Feb 03, 2006

Wow, we should have had the Moat Race this week. Check out the flood in front of the Park. We need Noah's Ark to take two of every skate product out of the Shop before it rises a few more inches.
